News From The Front

Why is this is boy crying? Because he just found out some bad news! Do to circumstances beyond my control, Fun With The Schaeffers will be published even more sporadic than what it is now. But don't fret, I will post whenever I get the chance. Before you know it things will be back to normal and the insanity that is our life will continue. Meanwhile, here's a story about my precious kitten, Krystal.

Krystal somehow got the tip of her tail bloody. We don't know how or if it was one of the other cats, but it was a mess. Poor thing. She had about an inch and a half of her tail amputated. Krystal has a stump now.

Of course, the good news is Alex always get to go to great places with his Granny and Pop-Pop. Here they went to the Cherry Crest Adventure Farm.
So not much right now. Hopefully, I'll be able to tell more stories that'll make you laugh, cry, and move your heart. Catch on the flipside!!
Next Time: We'll see....

The Mouse Buys The House Of Ideas

"Ma'am, if Uncle Sam wanted me to be Mickey Mouse, I'd do it. I'm that kind of American - the kind you can count on." - John Walker, the new Captain America, Captain America #333, September, 1987.

I saw that in a comic that I bought Monday at the Landisville Flea Market. It's almost a prediction of last weeks events when Disney (The Evil Empire) bought Marvel Comics for $4 billion. A lot of fans (me included) dropped their jaws over the sale. Will Disney muddy up some of the best characters ever? Will it be business as usual? Will Marvel start making Disney comics? Time will tell. In the meantime, here's to hope for a She-Hulk/ Scrooge McDuck crossover written and drawn by one of the best artists Marvel has, John Byrne.

Sorry, short post this week. More very soon. I promise. Catch you on the flipside!
