Caption Contest Update

You people are slacking! The caption contest I instigated is still in full swing. You got until July 15th to come up with some snazzy captions to the pictures I posted two blogs ago. Nobody has yet to enter for the yummy wet bottom shoefly pie. Hurry up!
Meanwhile, things have been jumping around here. I saw the new Transformers movie. I give it a B+. They've extended Les Miserable at the Fulton Theatre another week. The wifey tells me she's getting tired of it. At least, the people making reservations for tickets. The ladykiller is still being the ladykiller. I wanted to post this picture the other week but I forgot so here it is...

Alex is sit with his buddy Declan the Little Swarrior. To see more of him head on over to Swarr Family Inc. The link is right over on the side. Watching those two together is funny. Alex will grab a toy and try to put it in his mouth and Declan will take it and tell him how to play with it. Too much cute for words.

So that's it for now. Catch you on the flipside!

Father's Day

Father's Day came and went.
This is how it was spent.
I'll tell it in rhyme,
if you got the time.
It started with a chore,
the ladykiller threw up on the couch and floor.
Mommy left to go to her job
but Alex didn't fuss or make sob.
We went for a walk
and everything we saw made Alex talk.
Later in the afternoon
we met the wifey and he began to croon.
We went to the Macaroni Grill
and the food was good, we ate our fill.
We went and split, driving away careful and smart.
I took the long way home, Michelle and Alex drove to Walmart.
I was really content driving my car,
though if the wifey saw me, she'd be ticked, I was smoking a cigar.
We all made it home and we were glad.
Alex and I went next door to visit my dad.
By 9:00pm Alex went to a peaceful sleep,
I laid him in his crib and he made no peep.
I sat down and watched TV and read comics galore,
but I know for some of you that would be a bore.
Suddenly, I had a craving for something sweet,
and went to the kitchen for some oreos for my treat.
I only had seven
and I was in heaven.
It was getting late and I needed to rest.
So I crawled into bed, now here comes the best.
I jumped up, ran and puked in the toilet bowl.
I knew why it happened the oreos took their toll.
Michelle, of course, was worried and full of stress.
No way she wanted to clean up another mess.
I laid back in bed, my stomach stopped churning like the tide.
So that's my tale, catch you on the Flipside!!

Updates & A Contest?

Hi, everybody! How you doing? Here's where we are standing in this beautiful world we live in. Alex had some minor corrective surgery the other week. It was scary for both mommy and daddy but in the end we knew it would be over fast. He's a lot better now, chasing after the cats and being a little rugrat. The Fulton Theatre started its final show of the season. This past Friday, the wifey and I went and saw Les Miserable. At first I had no desire to see this even if it was the wifey's favorite musical. After seeing it, I was pleasantly surprised how good it was and I recommend seeing it.(And seeing it saved me from going to divorce court - that's mad the wifey would've been if I didn't see it.) Finally, the Toy Hunt 2009. I didn't make out so well this year with the beginning of the season. I got a bunch of comics (surprisingly all Marvel because the last few years I've been a DC man) and 4 toys. I pretty much was disappointed with that.

Ok, all you smarty-pants out there. Here's your chance to crack wise. Introducing the first annual:
Fun With The Schaeffers Funny Caption Contest!!!!
